Design Journey

Hi, I’m Ivy and I’m from Oakland, California! My introduction to accessibility in user experiences was growing up noticing generational differences in technology usage between me and my immigrant parents.

As I started diving deeper into the field in college, I learned to see design as more than just aesthetics. It’s also a powerful tool to bridge these gaps and strive towards technology equity, something I’m deeply passionate about.

Design Philosophy

With my background in Cognitive Science, I strive to center humans in the design process. Thinking about how people process information and feel is grounded in my approach to crafting experiences that aren’t just functional, but also enjoyable. As the landscape of AI continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be a designer, I intend on staying true to this approach while growing alongside this wave.
